This pack includes captures of a JHS Superbolt

The now-discontinued JHS Superbolt was a Supro amp in a pedal with loads of range and texture. Run this pedal at lower gain to add a subtle amount of hair and texture to your base tone, increase to a medium amount of gain for a delightful first stage drive or run it wide open to get a sputtery and almost fuzz-like tone that sounds like your amp could explode at any moment – but in a musical way. Ours is the V1 version and we captured the full range of the pedal to include both the high and low toggle positions.

Includes 20 captures of the pedal throughout its gain range, including ‘bright’ and ‘warm’ captures and both the ‘up’ and ‘down’ settings of the middle toggle.

Captures Naming Guide:

• Numbers indicate the level of gain. Lower numbers = lower gain, and higher numbers = higher gain. NOTE: a ‘1’ capture on a low-gain pedal will have inherently lower gain than a ‘1’ capture on a high gain pedal.
• B = Bright (the EQ on the pedal has been set to sound brighter – in these settings the ‘bass cut’ switch is turned on)
• W = Warm (the EQ on the pedal has been set to sound warmer – in these settings the ‘bass cut’ switch is turn off)
• D = Toggle Down
• U = Toggle Up

TONEX:

These captures were created using the ‘V2’ capture process, which was introduced with Tonex Ver. 1.10. This means that these captures represent the highest possible level of accuracy, and are phase aligned with all other ‘V2’ captures.

QUAD/NANO CORTEX – HOW DO YOU GET THE CAPTURES?

When you place your order, we will need to manually send you the captures through the ‘Cortex Cloud’ app by Neural DSP, available for both iOS and Android devices. First, you need to have the app installed and you must have an account through the app (go here to create an account and access the app).

This is how we will send you the captures:

1. Please include your Cortex Cloud app username in the ‘Notes’ field when checking out. If you do not include this, we cannot send you the captures. After we receive your order, we (SignalTheory) will follow you on the app.
2. Follow ‘SignalTheory’ on the Cortex Cloud app. This will make us ‘friends’ through the app :). If you are not following us, we cannot send you the captures.
3. After we receive your order, and we ‘Friends’ on the app, we will send you the captures through the app. We bundle the captures into presets, so you will receive one (or more) presets that include all the captures. You will find the captures in the ‘Shared with me’ section on your Quad Cortex.
4. Please allow up to 5 business days for us to send you the captures. Most orders will be fulfilled within two business days or less. This fulfillment process must happen manually – we will do our best to get you the files quickly. Once the NDSP marketplace opens, this process may change.
