STEREO AMPS PACK, VOL. 1

This pack includes seven of our favorite amplifiers that we like to pair in stereo amp setups. You can mix and match them to create your own stereo setups.

The following amps are includes:

• 1967 Fender Deluxe Reverb
• 1964 Vox AC30
• 2002 Korg-era Vox AC30
• Benson Chimera
• 1994 Matchless S/C-30
• Matchless Clubman
• Matchless Chieftain

For capture units (TONEX and Quad Cortex), we’ve delivered multiple captures of each amp, which allows you to choose a clean capture or ‘edge of breakup’.

For units that support full presets (Helix, HX Stomp, Axe-FX III, FM9, and Quad Cortex), we’ve delivered two different preset templates along with amp block settings and tone match IR’s, which you can mix and match to create your own stereo amp setups. For Line 6 and Fractal units, we’ve also included over 50 effects settings via the Favorites feature (Line 6) and the Block Library (Fractal).

TONE MATCH (Gen 2) PATCHES (Applies to Line 6 and Fractal presets)

These are part of our ‘Tone Match’ line of patches. To create these patches, we make custom IR’s that ‘match’ the HX and Fractal amp models to our real-world amp. The result is the Line 6 and Fractal units sound almost exactly like our actual amplifiers.

The ‘Gen2’ indicates a new process we’ve used when Tone Matching our amplifiers that takes more of the amplifier’s cab and speaker into account, resulting in a more accurate tone match impulse response.

PRESET TEMPLATES

We’ve included two main presets that act as templates for the stereo amp/IR pairs:

• WT ST TMPLTE A – This preset template places all the wet FX in front of the stereo amp blocks
• WT ST TMPLTE B – This preset template places all the wet FX after the stereo amp blocks
• NOTE: For HX Stomp, we are delivering simply the amp/IR blocks and a reverb block with stereo routing. This allows you to run a stereo board into HX Stomp, or drop in any of the ‘Favorite’ effects blocks settings.

SNAPSHOTS/SCENES

Our presets include Snapshots for instant access to a wide variety of tones, including clean sounds, ambient tones, driven, lead, and high gain sounds, and modulated tones.

FAVORITES/BLOCK LIBRARY FILES

We’ve utilized the ‘Favorites’ and ‘Block Library’ features in the HX and Fractal units to deliver our go-to dialed in effects and amps blocks. You get over 50 effects blocks with our favorite settings, ready to drop into the included preset templates.

NOTES:

• The HX Stomp presets do not include Snapshots.

CAPTURES & PROFILES

(Applies to TONEX, Quad Cortex, and Kemper units)

This pack includes captures of seven different amplifiers that we love to pair together in stereo. You will receive additional documentation with our favorite amp pairings, but you can mix and match them to create your own stereo setups.

We’ve included our 2 and 3 capture of each amp (clean and ‘edge of breakup’) to offer varying degrees of gain to use as ‘pedal platforms’. If you are interested in the full gain spectrum of the amp we have full amp packs available for all of these.

TONEX (‘V2 CAPTURES’)

All included captures were created using the ‘V2’ capture process, which was introduced with Tonex Ver. 1.10.1. This means that these captures represent the highest possible level of accuracy, and are phase/polarity aligned with all other ‘V2’ captures.

QUAD/NANO CORTEX – HOW DO YOU GET THE CAPTURES?

When you place your order, we will need to manually send you the captures through the ‘Cortex Cloud’ app by Neural DSP, available for both iOS and Android devices. First, you need to have the app installed and you must have an account through the app (go here to create an account and access the app).

This is how we will send you the captures:

1. Please include your Cortex Cloud app username in the ‘Notes’ field when checking out. If you do not include this, we cannot send you the captures. After we receive your order, we (SignalTheory) will follow you on the app.
2. Follow ‘SignalTheory’ on the Cortex Cloud app. This will make us ‘friends’ through the app :). If you are not following us, we cannot send you the captures.
3. After we receive your order, and we ‘Friends’ on the app, we will send you the captures through the app. We bundle the captures into presets, so you will receive one (or more) presets that include all the captures. You will find the captures in the ‘Shared with me’ section on your Quad Cortex.
4. Please allow up to 5 business days for us to send you the captures. Most orders will be fulfilled within two business days or less. This fulfillment process must happen manually – we will do our best to get you the files quickly. Once the NDSP marketplace opens, this process may change.
