This pack includes captures of a vintage Marshall Bluesbreaker

Yet another circuit made desirable by John Mayer’s usage, the Marshall Bluesbreaker is an iconic sound. Created to emulate the amp by the same name, this pedal gives you glassy low-gain tones and amp-like gained up tones in the same box. Often imitated but rarely replicated, this pedal still brings the goods 30 plus years after it’s release. Use our lower gain captures for ultimate amp-like dynamics and a beautiful open sound even when driven. Brighten up the captures and use the neck pickup of a strat for some iconic tones!

Includes 9 captures of the pedal throughout its gain range, including ‘bright’ and ‘warm’ captures at each gain stage.

Captures Naming Guide:

• Numbers indicate the level of gain. Lower numbers = lower gain, and higher numbers = higher gain. NOTE: a ‘1’ capture on a low-gain pedal will have inherently lower gain than a ‘1’ capture on a high gain pedal.
• B = Bright (the EQ on the pedal has been set to sound brighter)
• W = Warm (the EQ on the pedal has been set to sound warmer)

TONEX:

These captures were created using the ‘V2’ capture process, which was introduced with Tonex Ver. 1.10. This means that these captures represent the highest possible level of accuracy, and are phase aligned with all other ‘V2’ captures.

QUAD/NANO CORTEX – HOW DO YOU GET THE CAPTURES?

When you place your order, we will need to manually send you the captures through the ‘Cortex Cloud’ app by Neural DSP, available for both iOS and Android devices. First, you need to have the app installed and you must have an account through the app (go here to create an account and access the app).

This is how we will send you the captures:

1. Please include your Cortex Cloud app username in the ‘Notes’ field when checking out. If you do not include this, we cannot send you the captures. After we receive your order, we (SignalTheory) will follow you on the app.
2. Follow ‘SignalTheory’ on the Cortex Cloud app. This will make us ‘friends’ through the app :). If you are not following us, we cannot send you the captures.
3. After we receive your order, and we ‘Friends’ on the app, we will send you the captures through the app. We bundle the captures into presets, so you will receive one (or more) presets that include all the captures. You will find the captures in the ‘Shared with me’ section on your Quad Cortex.
4. Please allow up to 5 business days for us to send you the captures. Most orders will be fulfilled within two business days or less. This fulfillment process must happen manually – we will do our best to get you the files quickly. Once the NDSP marketplace opens, this process may change.
