BRIAN’S MID-LIFE CRISIS PRESET

I’ve been experimenting with different amp and signal flow layout types lately, and I’ve really been enjoying pairing a clean amp with a more aggressive rock type amplifier to get bigger sounds. Being a child of the 80’s & 90’s, I’ve always loved the rock tones from those eras.

This preset uses the Matchless C-30 amp model for clean tones and the Soldano SLO-100 for rhythm and lead tones. Given it’s layout and effects, this preset is extremely versatile, and I’ve included Snapshots for my favorite sounds.

PRESETS INFO

(Applies to Line 6 HX, Fractal, and Quad Cortex)

The pack includes fully featured presets designed for both single coil and humbucker equipped guitars.

These presets include two IR’s made from our cabs. One based on a Marshall 1982B JH 4×12 cabinet and the other made from a vintage ’76 Marshall 1960A 4×12 with Blackbacks.

SNAPSHOTS/SCENES

Our presets include Snapshots for instant access to a wide variety of tones, including clean sounds, ambient tones, driven, lead, and high gain sounds, and modulated tones.

NOTES:

• The HX Stomp and FM3 folders include ‘FX” presets. These presets include the additional effects blocks from the full Helix/Axe-FX versions. Because these units have signal flow and DSP limitations, they are not as fully featured as the flagship units.
• The HX Stomp presets do not include Snapshots.

QUAD/NANO CORTEX – HOW DO YOU GET THE CAPTURES?

When you place your order, we will need to manually send you the captures through the ‘Cortex Cloud’ app by Neural DSP, available for both iOS and Android devices. First, you need to have the app installed and you must have an account through the app (go here to create an account and access the app).

This is how we will send you the captures:

1. Please include your Cortex Cloud app username in the ‘Notes’ field when checking out. If you do not include this, we cannot send you the captures. After we receive your order, we (SignalTheory) will follow you on the app.
2. Follow ‘SignalTheory’ on the Cortex Cloud app. This will make us ‘friends’ through the app :). If you are not following us, we cannot send you the captures.
3. After we receive your order, and we ‘Friends’ on the app, we will send you the captures through the app. We bundle the captures into presets, so you will receive one (or more) presets that include all the captures. You will find the captures in the ‘Shared with me’ section on your Quad Cortex.
4. Please allow up to 5 business days for us to send you the captures. Most orders will be fulfilled within two business days or less. This fulfillment process must happen manually – we will do our best to get you the files quickly. Once the NDSP marketplace opens, this process may change.
